Week ten of 20th Century Design is complete. Which means there are only two weeks left, wow time has gone fast!
This week we examined Italian design of the 20th Century. What I found particularly interesting was the Anti-Design movement that was started there, that made very surreal and uniquely conceptual pieces that was really the start of post-modernism. I also thought the Italian artist, designer, inventor Bruno Munari to be a very interesting character and part of the design landscape!
I submitted my assessment 2B, which was a research essay on 20th century design in Australia from 1919 to 1939. I decided to focus on magazine and advertising and what effect was translated through them during this time. It was quite an interested topic to explore.
