Week 10 of Design Studio: Concepts and Narratives is complete. In week 10 we began work on our final project, which is to produce a 30 second animation.

During this week we looked at and studied many animations, especially those that involved cut motion / stop animation. It is amazing to discover so many interesting creations and to start formulating ideas on creating my own. To create our own animation we are using old photographs. I selected one that I thought could have a pleasant meaning and effect. Our focus during week 10, was to develop ideas on the narrative that forms the animation, to explore many different ideas and refine our final choice. This was a good task to try and create a story that was simple, interesting and could possibly fit into a 30 second timeframe. I had to consider how the pieces and characters would move and how that also effected the story.

Next week we begin storyboarding our narrative! ?

I received my grade from my second assessment and received a 95! That was really exciting to see the improvement from the first assessment result of 82.  ?
