While visiting family in Dubbo this past week I had the fantastic opportunity to see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (Prince Harry and Meghan Markle) in person. It was indeed a royal encounter. 👑
Harry delivered a very moving speech in which he discussed the drought that has affected many farmers in rural communities and shone a spotlight on mental health. As someone who is affected by mental illness and also living in a rural area, I was touched by this and hope it may be able to encourage others to seek help if they need it. 💖
There was a large crowd in Dubbo, and even though it began to rain heavy, it didn’t deter people from catching a glimpse of Harry and Meghan. I dodged raincoats and umbrellas and was able to see them and take the following photographs. 📷
A bonus was that a band I like, Thirsty Merc were playing. I have wanted to see them for some time, but it never worked out that I got see them in concert. This time I did, for freee. 😄 The photos of the band turned out a lot better because it was not raining.

Awesome! And double awesome for getting to hear a band you like for free! XD
Wow those photos are awesome! I love Prince Harry and Meghan they just seem so much more down to earth then the rest of the Royal family. Bonus that you got pictures of your favorite band as well!
That is just awesome! I mean how can you not be excited to be near royalty, ya know? The pictures speak for themselves on how they are both great people.
Those photos are gorgeous! It seems you were able to get up really close to the Duke & Duchess. I’m glad the rain didn’t spoil your day too much!
This is so amazing! Your photos are incredible – they are so beautiful 😆😍I love that the band that was playing was one that you like – definitely a bonus!!
Haha I literally just mentioned in my last blog post how I missed out on seeing them! All these photos look amazing 🙂
1. Not a royal, but many famous people as I go to conventions and things quite often.
2. It has if it was something I wasn’t that bothered by, but I once saw my favourite band play in the rain and it was kind of magical.
3. First that comes to mind is She & Him!
That is absolutely brilliant you saw them in person! I admit, the rain may have deterred me from attending this great opportunity, but I would have attended in the end! I mean, it’s not every day you can meet someone famous like the royal family 🙂 I’m glad attended, and I am loving the photos you took! Thank you for sharing them 😀
It is so cool that you got to see the Duke and Duchess!! The pictures you took of them looked so romantic. You’re on point with the royal sighting! You’re talented with your photography, hehe.
Wow, you’re so lucky to be able to see the Duke and the Duchess! It’s such a rare opportunity so I’m a bit jealous that you were able to see them in person, lol! You also shot some stunning photos of them! <3 And it's always a great bonus to see a band you like perform in front of you… for free too!
I like a lot of famous celebrities in the Philippines, so I've seen quite a few in person. Haha and as for the rain, no, I don't think it would deter me from attending an event, especially if someone super famous or a band I like would be performing!
This is really cute and i love how the Royals make the use of their status to touch lives and really give a good example to everyone.
Have you ever seen a royal or famous personality in person? Nope. Also, i always treat everyone the same, regardless of their status.
Has the rain ever deterred you from an event? Hmmm. Yes, i was suppose to go to a rally but held off due to rains.
Is there a band that you would love to see live? Yes! A lot! Vance Joy, Paramore, Rivers and Robots, Rend Collective and Imagine Dragons.
I am a sucker for love and the way Meaghan looks at Harry is so adorable! You’re so lucky you got to see them. I got to visit the chapel they got married in recently, and it made me so happy 😀
I’ve seen a few celebs IRL” Cuba Gooding Jr., Alfred Enoch and I’ve been in the audience for a few TV shows and got to see a few celebs there 🙂
I’m so used to rain in London that it doesn’t even bother me that much anymore! I would love to see Maroon 5 live!
