The Liebster Award

9 years

I was nominated for the The Liebster Award by Sophie. The award is basically a meme where I answer 11 questions that Sophie posted and nominate five people to answer 11 questions that I ask (with their own blog post).

1. What’s the story behind your blog name?

This is rather simple. It is my name, or my nickname. πŸ˜€ (Do I get an award for originality? :B)

2. Which food cuisine is your favourite?

Does candy/lollies and cute food fit in here? It’s probably not a good option, but I can’t help it. πŸ™

3. If you could meet and talk to anyone in history, who would it be and what would be your first question to them?

There isn’t really anyone specifically that I would want to meet. But to answer this question, it would probably be Douglas Adams. I wouldn’t really ask a question, but probably say “So long, and thanks for all the fish.” xD

4. Who is your favourite actor/actress?

Gary Oldman (Ryan Gosling is also great.. and Tom Hardy… Mmmmmm Tom Hardy *dribble*)

5. Would you ever adopt children?

I don’t know. There is a good chance that I might not be able to have children of my own, so if I ever really decided that I want a child, it would probably be an option. But I just don’t know. Not really about the adoption, but about having kids in general. I just don’t know if I would be a good parent. But it also makes me sad, that when I die, my family unit dies with me (because I’m an only child).

6. Do you have any new year resolutions?

Not really. I just want to try and be in a better place mentally. πŸ˜€

7. What’s your occupation?

A Noodle? Right now I am not sure. I can’t really say web/graphic designer because I would have to be doing that for it to be real. Mainly I am just noodling.

8. Is there a film you’ve been meaning to watch?

I still haven’t watched The Artist.

9. What would your dream flat/house be like?

Modern modern modern! Lots of pretty curves with white architecture and modern furniture and patterns as well (but subtle). Something tells me I probably would end up with cute things all over the place too, or maybe have a dedicated ‘cute room’? If it could be near a beach as well that would rock.

10. What do you like most about where you live?

I currently live in a very small town and I love that everything is so quite. I rarely hear traffic, there are kangaroos that bounce around the yard and there is a lot of space.

11. What dream are you currently pursuing (small or big) (if any)?

I still really want to write a children’s book. Like go through the whole process of writing, illustration and publishing it. I want to self publish it so I have control over everything. I want to do it, not as something to make money from, but as something that I can share with friends (and their children) and be proud of making. πŸ˜€

Now, I nominate Nicole, Claire, Kate, Silver & Alice to answer my 11 questions (if they want to).

1. Why did you start your blog?
2. How long have you been ‘online’?
3. Work to dream or dream to work?
4. Do you have a hidden talent?
5. What book means the most to you?
6. Do you create your own designs/themes for your blog?
7. What Hogwarts house would you be sorted into and why?
8. If you were an animal, what would you be?
9. How has your blog evolved from when you first started it?
10. If you were a mutant (think x-men) what would your mutant ability be?
11. Would you rather meet someone that is a celebrity (and you like) or someone that can offer you good advice?

I don’t know if I should do these things at 3am…… >.<

  1. I have one word: Noodle.

    Thank you, and good night.

In all siriusness, you could say you are an entrepreneur, yo. I know you don’t want to concern yourself with money too much with the money making and all (hell, I am the same way but I am forced to), but I do think you have many great talents and could possibly make a living off of them.

I hope one day, if you decide to have children, that you would be able to. You have such great parents.. I am sure some of their awesomeness has rubbed off on you. πŸ˜‰ But not rush… Vell, iv you are vanting I can be providing… Vor vreals. πŸ˜‰ NOOOOOO.

When you said dedicated cute room, I thought of some kind of psychopath with a secret room, but in a funny way… if you know what I mean?

You live in a beautiful area quiet.. I meant to say Kya.

Perhaps you should be an architect or home designer? Weeee.

Here is a follow-up question for you… How did you get the nickname Kya?

I had a feeling when you were talking about noodles that it might have been noodling hour… haha, but you did pretty well!

    1. It was a noodle hour. I was trying really hard to be a normal person type. :O

I got the nickname Kya, from a falling peanut. :O

  2. I have to admit that I absolutely love reading your posts, as they always make me smile. πŸ™‚ Anyways, I agree that Gary Oldman is a terrific actor. Plus, Ryan Gosling and Tom Hardy…hmmm. I haven’t seen The Artist either. πŸ™ Can I be a Noodle as well? I’ve got a feeling that I might actually be good at it. πŸ˜€ I had to smile at myself when I read the “cute room” as it made me think of a psychopath’s trophy room…not really sure if that’s a good thing or not. I guess it depends on what they’re trophies are…anywho, where you live sounds more interesting than where I do. Kangaroos are way preferrable to skunks…pew!

  3. Aww, I love this. Thank you for tagging me! πŸ™‚ I completely agree with Nicole, I honestly don’t think you give yourself enough credit. You are very talented and inspiring, you make the simplest things seem magic to me! And I envy where you live, I’d love to see some Kangaroos in my yard. :B BOING!

  4. Your layout even looks fantastic on my iPad in horizontal and vertical orientations. πŸ™‚ Love it so much Kya!

So, Kya is your nickname? That’s cool. I wish I could have a nickname.

It would be cool to have a kangaroo jumping around my neighborhood and to know that it was a wild kangaroo. πŸ™‚ I don’t think I could live in that small of a small town though. I love city life. The traffic is normal to me, I guess because that’s how I grew up and everything. Though there is this one spot in our smaller city where this farmer owns like 2 acres of land but it is only 10 minutes from the city…like perfect. There aren’t any trees so you can see the sky at night…man, that’s where I’d love to live. On 1-2 acres of land where the trees were cut out and I could go outside and camp right outside my house but still live 10-20 min away from the city. That would be freaking AWESOME.

You should definitely be a web design/graphic artist! You are an amazing designer and an even better coder! I’m sure you could make TONS of money doing this for people. I could give you at least 10 real estate agents that my mom is associated with that would want websites to put their houses that they are selling on as well as their contact information on. I’d do it but with my full-time job I have no time to do this stuff for them plus manage my fanlistings and everything. πŸ™
    ———————————————————-
Doesn’t seem like anyone has contacted me about being disappointed. I don’t think anyone even knows yet…or cares. πŸ™ OH well! I’m sure it will be bigger and better next time! I can’t wait for that time! (:

It isn’t but I’ve been meaning to run away from hostclearly for a while. It was always fishy how only my personal websites were affected with hackings and never my hostee’s sites (when I did have some). Or how I would give them my password and then these hackings would happen…. As a daughter to a conspiracy theorist (or at least a wannabe conspiracy theorist) I think HostClearly was hacking my sites and then not telling me that. Why? I don’t know could be for any reason you want. Does it make sense? No. Why else would my sites be the only one’s targeted if they didn’t even know my hostee’s usernames and passwords?

Thanks! I can’t wait to have it up and running! πŸ˜€

Yeah, I’m not so sure about the TFL rules anymore on their forum and site but I want to give it another shot. It really shouldn’t be that hard in theory to host them and such even when I am off at school. I mean if I can do it while working 40+ hours a week I can do it then.

    1. Some people like the city and others like the country. If you can find somewhere that you are comfortable with, that is the main thing. πŸ˜€

  5. Congratulations on being nominated for the liebster award. I’ve heard it, but have yet to take place in it. :/.

I honestly think that adopting kids first would give that child a chance at life before having your own (if you could). That was what my plans were going to be – before I found out that I can’t handle my own kids. I’ve babysat others and they were angels, but having my own and my own stress – I don’t think I could possibly manage it anymore. But kudos to you if you can :).

I hope you win the award. Good luck to those that have been nominated.

  6. “*dribble*”

    Bwahahaha! That is hilarious.

Thank you for tagging me! I’ll have to find a way to squeeze it into ofbooks πŸ˜€

  7. Wonderful answers! I love how you look in a positive light on everything and I hope you will achieve your dream! What kind of story will it be?

I would love to have a tour of your ‘cute house’. I’m a sucker for anything cute hahaha!

So long and thanks for all the fish! x

    1. xD Thanks. The story would involve animals in some form, because they are awesome.

Oh the cute room. It seems to mean something different to everyone. :O

  8. Hahahaha, noodle!

I haven’t gotten to ‘So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish’ yet! There are too many books on my reading list but I adore Douglas Adam and Hitchhiker’s Guide is one of my favourite books/films. πŸ™‚ I love dolphins.

  9. If doing these things at 3am mean that your occupation is a Noodle, I think you should get an award. πŸ˜€

I love Douglas Adams. His books are amazing, and humourous, and I think he would be one of the authors I would love to meet most, if he were still alive.

I think I imagine that you wouldn’t have a dedicated cute room, but that there would be cute things decorating your home everywhere and all over the place. I would like a modern home as well, and it would probably be pretty colour-coordinated. If I can keep it that way. xD

I hope 2014 is wonderful for you and filled with more happiness than you could ever imagine!

  10. I actually wrote and self published a children’s book. It’s so much fun! I hope you get to actually do one. I bet it would be awesome =)

  11. I think adoption can be a bit tricky, but I would definitely consider it if I were unable to have children, too. But hey, I hope to someday see your book become a reality, I’m sure your work will be incredible based on the illustration work I’ve seen from you, a children’s book sounds perfect!

  12. AW MAH TOM HARDY.

I hope you succeed in being in a better place mentally, because although it’s difficult to explain those kind of resolutions, I actually know exactly what you mean.

I personally think you’d make a lovely parent. The adoption question I knew was a bit of a personal one for people, so thanks for answering it honestly. It’s a tricky one, I think, though.

You’re right, it’s pretty cool reading people’s answers, even though my questions were bad (so sorry about that) πŸ˜›

And your dream is really awesome. It’s so sweet, and I very much hope that it comes true! And maybe I’ll be able to read it πŸ˜‰

  13. Hello you! Thanks for tagging me and I’m tagging you back yo!
Tom Hardy *drools*. Gary Oldman is awesome. I love your blog name! Noodles are tasty. I still want to visit you some day! Maybe in your dream house in the future! I can totally imagine it in my head.

  14. I think it’s the coolest thing ever that you have kangaroos bouncing through your yard. We have a ton of quail, but that’s about it. (Although they’re really funny to watch run through the yard, their little heads bobbing back and forth as they go.)

Our dream flats are practically identical! I want something really modern-looking, but I want it to have a touch of cute because I love cute things, and also a touch of vintage. All of this put together in your head probably sounds really weird, but when I imagine it it looks a lot like home (my room, lol). I really enjoy white/black furniture with splashes of color, so I can see my flat looking a lot like that. πŸ˜›

Tom Hardy! I just watched Lawless tonight and he was in it. πŸ˜› He was awesome in Fighter (I *think* that’s what it’s called) and he’s so yummy. I’d probably fangirl myself into oblivion if I met him in person. xD

    1. Animals of any kind have a magic all of their own, you just have to watch them. That is also cool about living in different parts of the world, there are different kinds. πŸ˜€

It would be so cool to have all different things that you want in the one place, and make it work. It would be possible. πŸ˜€

I may have to go on a re-watch marathon, bwahah.

  15. The Artist is so goood! It’s different from everything I had seen before you know?

You have kangaroos…in your yard?! That’s so unreal to me hehehe! They’re cute but they’re kind of scary as well to me.

    1. It does look really different. I will have to make sure I do watch it at some point (hopefully this year!) πŸ˜€

Yeah we do have them. Sometimes when it rains they head into the bush or sometimes if it’s dry they head into the bush as well. Usually in the early mornings or afternoons they will be around all the time though. πŸ˜€

  16. I gotta say first… L O L! The blog post was so cute!! You’re also the first Kya that I’ve ran across. I’m surprised though that Ryan Gosling isn’t your first choice for favorite actor! He’s almost everyone’s favorite choice! (Mine included!) Lol! And a noodle!!! I was trying to figure out what that meant!
