Stepping into a new decade

2009 is almost over, only a few more hours and 2010 will spring upon us like a tiger stalking in the grass. I hope 2010 brings a lot of happiness and joy for everyone, it’s about time! I hope that for myself it will be much better than 2009 and be about good news and positive energy.

It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t make a list of the resolutions I want to keep for 2010.

  • Loose weight and be healthy
  • Work hard in school
  • Get good marks on my HSC
  • Keep positive and be thankful for what I have
  • Get my drivers license (heh.. maybe? ;D)
  • Be adventurous and do something I wouldn’t normally
  • Keep an active blog (har har har)
  • Write a book and have it published
  • Read 50 books in one year

I think that is the major ones. *nod*

Dad and I played our annual game of cricket. He won, but he played a good game. We have been playing it for over ten years on the 31st of every December. Except last year we couldn’t because he had just had his operation for cancer and couldn’t do much of anything. In some ways, being able to play again was a much a celebration of overcoming that hurdle, even if it came back and he has to have more treatment. It was however, nice to have that hour where we just forgot and enjoyed ourselves in a family tradition.

Speak to you on the other side, unless the world ends and we will really be on the “other side” hahaha. Oh.

  4. Awwww Rascal is so adorable! I love looking at pictures of this squidgy cat. One of the few cats I’m not afraid of….! *runs* Yes I know you’re throwing plates at meeee.

Happy New Year to my beautiful friend as well 🙂 I love you and am so happy to have you as my friend. Your resolutions sound amazing and very productive. I believe you can do them all!

  6. Your kitten is adorable!
Good luck with your resolutions! 50 books isn’t a heck of a lot of books to read in one year. Aim for the sky, I’ve read over 200 books in a year! 😉 but I’m a reading machine, so don’t listen to me! And advice for reading that much is to
    a. Don’t give up
    b. Imagine the story as a movie in your head! And you have the best seat!

  7. Happy new year! 😀 I hope you achieve all your goals, especially doing well in the HSC. I know you can do it – all you have to do is try. 🙂

You can totally read 50 books! I used to read a book a day… yeah, back in those studious high school days. I’m such a laze these days. 😛

I’m only a learner driver (poop..) and quite frankly, I’m terrible. My licence expires in July. I hope that is an indication to you of how much I do not practice. 😛

I’m sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he’s a strong fighter. It’s really upsetting when a loved one has cancer. 🙁
