June 2017

June 2017

6 years

Another month has rolled to an end. It seems like this year is going very fast. In June 2017 I finished my packaging design class, completed renovations on my mum’s room and battled an evil flu bug.

🎓 Packaging Design

This class has quite intense. There was a lot of different activities to complete and a lot involved in the process of creating packaging design. The second project was even more challenging and caused a bit of stress. I was glad when I had finished the class so I could have a break. I intend to have a full recap post when I have my final grades.

🏠 Mum’s room

It seems like it carried on forever to complete the renovations on my mum’s room. Most of that was due to the fact I was busy with Uni. I finally finished the floor, painted the ceiling and walls and moved the furniture in. Mum loves antique furniture and the art deco style, so it has a unique flare that she loves.

🤢 Evil Flu Bug

I have been feeling a bit blah. At first, I thought it might have been stress, but I believe that it’s a flu bug. I don’t get sick very often, so it annoys me when I do (I am sure it does everyone right?). I had some blood tests done and will check in with my doctor to see if everything is okay. It’s good to make sure medications are not causing issues or if hormones are imbalanced (I have PCOS, so this could be highly possible).

☁️ Other Random Things

  • Created a set of 80 free patterns
  • Added 100+ prompts to Artprompt.xyz
  • Still, haven’t retaken my learner license test (I will do this in July)
  • Captured a few photographs (not as many as I would like)
  • I am still behind on returning comments, but I intend to do it over the weekend!

  1. Sounds like you had a pretty tough semester with your class! It’s good you finished it! Yay for finishing up your Mum’s room! I know she’s super pleased with it 😀

I’m sorry to hear you’ve been feeling unwell :/ I hope your test results yield good news. It’s important to stay healthy! Get a lot of rest and relaxation. Feel better <3

  2. Sounds like you’ve been really busy with your packaging design class and your mom’s room! I’m interested in seeing your post later about your class. I feel like packaging design is one of those important things where people don’t think about the work behind it. That’s also so nice of you to renovate your mom’s room and tailor it to her preferred style.

I hope things are ok with your health and that you feel better soon!

In June, I was busy with cosplay and also taking a trip for my brother’s wedding. I hope to have a much more relaxing July! The last time I was sick was just a couple months ago I think. I totally thought it was allergies, but I was actually sick, haha.

    1. There is certainly a lot involved in packaging design!

Glad to hear that you will have a relaxing July. You earned it! 😀

  3. So sorry to hear you were sick! Hope you’re feeling better!

That class sounds touch, but does sound interesting! And that’s so nice you did your mom’s room. Bet it looks great!

  4. I am down with flu as well! Now it’s just alternating between a bit of runny nose and blocked nose. Hope both of us get better soon!

  5. Congratulations on finishing your packing design class! I can imagine how important this class is because I know I tend to judge a product by the way it looks. (Some people are willing to pay more $$$ if the item has a nice package design – guilty). Congrats on finishing your mother’s room as well! Glad to hear all of the hard work is worth it :).

I’m sorry to hear that you had an evil flu bug. Hope you’re feeling better.

I remembered being sick last winter. It was not good at all!! Hope you will have a great July :).

  6. The flu. Bah! I usually get it about once a year, and it’s the worst week ever. Believe it or not, what I hate the most is the inability to go 30 seconds without coughing my head off ~_~

June was a blur for me honestly. I worked a lot and studied A LOT for most of the month. Didn’t get a chance to have much fun. July has been marginally better, though, so YAY! It’s been a bit calmer, and my studies have seriously slowed down some, thank gosh.

You seem like you had a pretty busy month as well :’D :’D

  7. Congrats on finishing your packaging design class. That sounds like such an interesting topic! Education always has its stressful times, but it’s so worth it. I can’t wait to hear how it all went!

It’s great that you’ve completed the renovations on your mum’s room. I bet she loves it!

Sorry to hear you’ve not been well! Hope you’re feeling better now!

June was mainly spent planning for my holiday and going on holiday. It was such a busy month! And it looks like July will be just as busy!
