I recieved the news that I was accepted into the Communication Design degree and start in July!
I am really excited about this and I can’t wait to begin. I just have to wait until I get an email to officially enrol in a certain unit and defer my fees (because I could not afford to pay them right now). I will also have to find out if I need any textbooks or programs. I have Adobe CS5, but might have to use the new CC version (which I wanted to try anyway and can use a student discount). ^_^
I have also been busy working on some projects. Blog Matter is open again, Giraffe Host is accepting new applications for free hosting and I don’t think I mentioned this before, but I have a message board everyone is welcome to join!

That is awesome! Congratulations. I’m not sure if you’re aware of this, but depending on your age and such, you may qualify for Financial aid. Or, you can potentially get a student loan to help pay for your college materials i.e. classes, books, etc. However, with the student loan you have to pay that back. If you get on the Pell Grant, like Tristan and I did, you don’t have to pay that back. I’m really happy for you! Speaking of July, Tristan and I are contemplating about whether or not to sign up for summer school.We’re only going to take one class just so we can keep going and not be bored. Ya know? I’m highly considering in taking my next math class or an English class (if they offer it).

I’m on Lookbook, and on blogloving. I used to be on blogmatter when it was a comment exchange site. However, I will still promote it and keep the link on my blog.
2. Are you a member of any message boards or forums?
I don’t have the time nor patience for message boards at the moment, so no.
Australia has a much different system. You can defer university fees if you are in a position where you can’t pay them. It is ‘registered’ with your tax, so once you earn over a certain amount, deductions are made to repay the study costs. There are also options if you need help to cover costs with study materials, if you study full time, you can get a payment from the Government.

Congrats Kya! That’s awesome. 🙂 I have the newer Photoshop and I like it. It really doesn’t seem that different from the older version, they’ve just put everything on a “cloud” service. But I haven’t really kept up with different versions so I could be wrong.

– Running a book blog (or one that is relatively in that niche) gives me an entire community to be a part of, and I really like that. It has connected me with a lot of awesome and interesting people who share a similar love of books. ^^
2. Are you a member of any message boards or forums?
– I’m a member of your forum! 😛 It’s hard for me to maintain active participation though because I forget about them. I do try and visit often, though.
Thanks for letting me know. From what I have seen, it looks like there are many enhancements to known features, that just make it easier to do common tasks, like alter shapes and other things. Hopefully I can try it out soon. 🙂

And thank you for Blog Matter! I’m a member there and on Zigative, but still have to sign up to Cup. I used to be more active on TFL, still a member but I don’t really stop by as much anymore. I find that when I sign up for new message boards, I do it hoping to capture a bit of ‘the good old days’ when loads of bloggers I knew frequented them and we’d all have a good chat. Now sadly I find that I sign up and am active for a little while, then get too busy to frequent as much as I’d like and loose touch. 🙁

And I’ll definitely join the message board! I love forums, haha. I usually have to make time to join them though but I think forum communities are great. Most of the ones I join though are RP (roleplay) forums – which are basically writing communities based around specific plots, sometimes original, other times fan based.
(I also got a new website, so don’t be too surprised at the URL change)

I am currently not member of any communities to promote my blog or any message boards/ forums. Do you have any to recomend? (I am going to check out blogmatter now!) I used to be a member of some forums, but I sort of stopped comming back to them. The only one I go to now are the ones we use for school to ask eachoter and the lecturer questions about class / tasks/ exams. |)

I’m a member of BM and Bloglovin, but to be honest, I only use bloglovin’ so people can follow my blog via a social media outlet rather than GFC (blogger) or email. And as for BM I use it to promote my blog as well as find other blogs like mine and possibly find some friends along the way 😀

Adobe CC is fantastic! My favourite part of the suite is Typekit, no more downloading fonts that hog up your computer space!

Thank you! Normally it takes 3-4 years, but it will take me longer because I am part time. I might be able to do full time at some point, but I have to wait and see. I really like being able to study online, because I learn so much better on my own, where I can read the material and take it all in. It’s good that it’s an option, because I would struggle with classes (on campus).

I see that there is a new app as part of it that you can capture an image with your phone and vector it or something like that. It would be cool, but hopefully it won’t be abused all the time. -_-
