It’s that time of year again, when I am reaching out to anyone that may be interested in exchanging Christmas cards. It’s something that I really enjoy to do each year. 🌞
This year I will be including a card I have designed (featuring the character Peaty from my recent book, Peaty the Worm). I will also include a few little extras (such as stickers, and little things that can fit into a standard envelope). I won’t reveal what these are, so they can be a surprise for anyone that does take part in the card exchange. 😁
Last year I did a Christmas card and gift exchange. I have decided this year, just to do cards.

The cost of presents and gifts can add up – I have been doing shopping for my family and it’s adding up quite quickly, haha. I am just doing a small Secret Santa exchange with some of my friends, and we put a small average of $25 for the cost of the gift.

I used to DIY. I don’t know if I will do the same this year, but the good thing is, I still have some supplies to make them anyway. ? I want to experiment and do a different style from what I usually do…

Hope you’ll have a good number of cards to send out this year! I still need to plan my Christmas cards out this year. I prefer snail mail because it’s something people can actually feel rather than spend 10 seconds glancing at an e-mail. I like to buy cards and write meaningful things on it :’).. I’m wishing that 2017 will be a great year!
I agree with you. It can be so nice to get a card in the mail. It’s also nice to take the time to make or purchase a card that is personal or can reflect what you want to share. 😀
I applied! I’m in the USA so definitely feel free not to accept (or send me your address anyway so I can send you one but don’t feel obligated to send one back!). I used to send a TON of mail but have just gotten too busy with art and other things recently – but I love doing it! I’m planning to design a nice Christmas card this year to put in my shop and send out to friends!

Every year I intend to do a card exchange, and time always seems to get away from me. 🙁 I think I need to start preparing earlier, and start small with only a few close friends – both online and offline.
Are you sending snail mail card or cards? My Mom and I will probably send a few cards to close family friends, and family.

It can be hard to get organised and work out when to send cards, especially overseas. I am hoping I didn’t wait too long to order the items I am including with the cards. Eeek.

I see people sending out Christmas cards too. I don’t know if it’s through email or postal. I could send one to them if they ask me. It’s going to be an e-card. It’s faster, easier, and doesn’t cost a thing. Yes, I’m cheap. Haha. 😀

Being able to send emails and ecards is handy, if you want to send to a number of people and not have the cost of postage. 🙂

Yay, I applied! Christmas is one of the rare times I actually send snail mail. There’s just something nice about getting a physical card 😀 I don’t send many each year, but it’s still fun! One of these days, I’d like to try a DIY card. For now, I’ve been buying them!

I’m doing a Secret Santa exchange with a few friends, because I opted out of the one with my paternal cousins—I don’t think it was going to happen this year, anyway, so the gift exchange with some friends worked out pretty well. I’ve always liked the idea of gift exchanges, but have never been a part of one that was…legit? Idunno, my experience with them is kind of sad, but I’m hoping this one goes better. <3

Sadly, no. I wanted to, but I’ve been having such bad luck lately with mail and life in general, so I just don’t want the extra stress. :/ I always love your cards, though! I remember trying last year, but failing, so…I’m just not doing an exchange. :s

I want to learn to DIY them; I think DIY ones are so cute, and I love how they’re basically personalised. You can’t find cards you make personally sold in bulk at stores (well, not usually), so they feel more meaningful.
Of course, that doesn’t mean I won’t buy the cute cards I see in stores. I have a horrid habit of buying cards I love from stores and just…keeping them. XD

Awww I love things like this and receiving snail mail! I do send Christmas cards and I used to DIY them but now use store bought cards. I usually enclose stickers or use a “jiffy bag” and put some chocolate in two.
