April & May 2017

April & May 2017

6 years

Wow. It has been a while since I blogged. I had been very busy over the past two months with University, particularly the packaging design class. He is a recap of my April & May 2017.

April & May 2017 was mostly just two busy months where I dedicated a lot of time to study (and not blogging… oops).

πŸ’šΒ April 2017

  • Busy with University (Packaging Design)
  • Received an award for academic excellence (for Digital Design)
  • Made small progress on home renovationsΒ  u*u
  • Took a few pictures (not as many as I would like)

πŸ’™Β May 2017

  • Even more busy with University (Packaging Design)
  • My learner license expired (doh!), so I have to retake the test
  • Started feeling a bit ill (either a bug or stress, still not 100% yet)

Not a lot of exciting news (although the award was kind of cool). I didn’t think that I would get so busy with the Packaging Design class. I will probably create a recap post once I have my final grade.Β  πŸ˜€

Now that I have some time off (woo) I plan to catch up on blogs and see how everything has been going. Hopefully, everyone has been well.Β  πŸ’–

  1. Congrats on the award! Nice to see you back, I was going to prod you on Twitter to see if you were ok πŸ˜€

I had the same thing happen with my learners too! I had to retake the test and pay for it again :'(

I can barely even remember April and May πŸ˜€ I did a bunch of training with work and the usual playing games, watching tv, going out for breakfast on Saturday’s πŸ˜€

  2. Congrats on the award but I am glad that your offline life is busy because it helps get things done πŸ˜€ And being productive means a happier person! I haven’t done much in April or May, except celebrate some dates like my husband’s birthday on April 5th and just have fun. Riding the months out is fun!

  3. Congratulations on receiving an award for academic excellence! With all of the cute designs you’ve made, you totally deserved it. It’s good that you dedicated your time to study. Knowledge goes a long way. Hope you’ll get a good grade in the class!

  4. Congrats on your award! I love hearing about your school adventures as it sounds like you’re learning a lot and having tons of fun πŸ™‚ I’m excited to read the recap of your packaging design class!

  5. Welcome back Kya! I’m glad you’re back blogging after a break – I know life can get pretty busy at times so I’m glad that you’re on the radar again πŸ˜€

Congratulations on your award, this is a massive achievement! I’m so happy for you, I hope you celebrated well. It sounds like you had a busy month but I’m sure it was an awesome learning experience. πŸ˜€

  6. Congrats on the award! I feel like April and May were busy for a lot of people. It definitely was for me! I’m just now getting back into catching up on everyone’s blogs as well. I’m glad you have some time off right now. I hope you’ve been able to relax, and I hope you’re feeling better!

  7. Welcome back Kya! I’m glad you have been focussing on studying even though you put your blog on the back burner. πŸ˜† Well done on the award, too!

Oops about your licence. πŸ˜† It’s OK – I had to get mine a second time, too. The test isn’t really that difficult, from what I remember.

I was also a bit sick with a really annoying cold a couple of weeks ago; I managed to make it to work most days, except one day where I was feeling really β€œheavy” so I just worked from home. It was my birthday in May, and this month I’m in Perth, working remotely and also visiting some friends. πŸ˜„

I actually struggle to remember what I did in April… but I remember Nick and I went to visit some of his family in Queensland πŸ˜„

    1. Thank you. πŸ˜€ It’s annoying forgetting simple renewals. The test isn’t that hard. You generally just need to apply some basic logic. I like to read all the questions (which are avaliable) and focus on any questions that I might have some confusion over. πŸ˜€

  8. Glad to see you posting πŸ™‚ Congrats on the award for yoru academic excellence. Your hard work is paying off, and you’re learning a lot for your degree. I hope your bug or whatever you have doesn’t worsen. Keep it and don’t overdo it to where your health gets affected! <3

  9. That sucks that your learners expired. I hated doing that test and made sure to never let my license expire so I would never have to take that thing again in my life haha.

What did you do in April?
I can’t even remember what I did in April, that was so long ago haha.

What did you do in May?
In May I went away to a cabin in the mountains for my birthday weekend. It was cold and rainy but still nice to get away for a couple days.

How is your June going so far? Any big plans.
I just got back from my first camping trip of the summer. It was pretty fun but again a bit rainy and cold. In fact, the weather hasn’t been that great this month in general so I haven’t been going out to the festivals I was hoping to. I don’t think I have much else planned for this month.

  10. I spent my April studying hard for my exams and school projects. My May is spent on researching on my holiday plans (to Japan!) and catching up with friends. Can’t believe it’s June now! Time really flies.

  11. Welcome back! I always used to miss months of blogging when uni was busy – it’s so stressful trying to balance everything. Hope it’s all going well!

Congrats on winning an award! That’s so great!

My April and May have been devoted to sorting out the things I left st my parents’ house. I’ll be so glad when it’s all sorted so I can just chill!

Hope June goes well for you!

  12. Congrats on the award! πŸ™‚

I finished my semester in April/early May, so that was satisfying. I also took a trip to see family in Connecticut in May, and the weather was so refreshing and nice! April & May have been busy for me, but I wouldn’t say anything particular has happened. It’s just normal, busy life, but it kept me away from blogging too so I completely sympathize with you on that one. πŸ˜›

  13. Congrats ont he award Kya! You definitely deserve it!

Lots of things have been happening for me in May. I focused more on photography and applied for a new job. πŸ™‚ Which leads me to June – I decided to join a photography contest and every weekend I have been doing something leading up to it.
