It?s so amazing how much just writing can effect us, I have always loved to write and always loved to try and battle my laziness for lacking the ability to spell correctly. By writing I am referring in this case to Fiction and all forms that take us out of the ordinary and splot us on journeys of the imagination. You can never plan how any person is going to see because everything is unique to you. Your mind creates images of the characters, it sets the scenes. If your good enough you even believe in what is happening and what is wrong with that? Belief is everything in life, watching Finding Neverland made me think to myself. No matter what other people say I have to try and believe in myself and my talents. As does everyone that has them, and I believe some of the biggest factors for people is themselves. You have your haggling thoughts; if I try to do this failure will look me in this face. You cannot be afraid of failure and we should not be judged by it. Everyone that knows and understands you for who you are never will. We all have moments when things don?t work and we move on from them, it?s a lesson in life we have to learn.
If I can continue to write, however difficult it may be in Australia to get noticed that is not the main point. The point is if I write for myself and for people on a level to entertain and to inspire then wether or not it brings a wealth of fortune or fame is irrelevant. A true writer writes because they can?t sleep at night from words darting inside there head, characters lurking behind every corning waiting to have their story told. Looking at the world as an open book and watching everything from different perspectives.
But then it?s not the lovie dovie world you could imagine. You have to have luck and talent on your side. While you can always control or at least try you?re hardest to brand your talent, luck is something that only can happen when the time is right. Until that time I can only hold onto the dreams and keep typing every moment with something that that keeps a rhythm and meaning. I wish luck and hope for everyone who has a dream, may you always follow it.

Wow. What a well-written, meaningful blog. If you can take a good idea, and articulate it as well as you did this simple blog, I would bet anything on your being a successful writer. You’re amazing, Kya, truly amazing 🙂
I agree with you Kya. Things worth having are worth waiting for. Luck is one thing but luck alone is not stable enough to be the only means of anything. The talent and the hard work has to be there at all times, you may luck out and be offered something great, but until then you can?t just give up, you?ve got to keep doing what you?re doing. Opportunities arise when least expected, that seems to be the case with a lot of things, at least with me. Writing for yourself, and writing for the joy it brings you should be your first priority, like you said. I enjoy reading what you have to say, and I wish you the best in life and with everything you do! Believing is such a strong feeling and can do quite a lot. It’s sad when sometimes the people that slack luck out, but I still believe anything worth having is worth working for, and that those kind of people can’t bring me down and shouldn?t bring anyone who really deserves it down.

writing is a great thing. and it’s good that you aren’t writing for money and you are writing purely for you. i think many writers forget the real reason why they write. and that can never be good.

I don’t write much other than in my journal and blog. I’ve passed on writing fiction and fanfiction a long time ago.

I believe that skill is more important than talent, and most of luck is something we create for ourselves. Regardless, I think you’ll go far. I haven’t seen that movie yet, but I want to.

I feel that writing is a gift from God sometimes. The way that we can put pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard gives us the oppertunity to express ourselves, write what’s on our minds, create something amazing. I know that you are an amazing writer, since we both wrote that short story. I feel that you could have an amazing future in writing, and if you don’t, never stop writing. Ever. keep it as a hobby.
