G’day I know I said I wouldn’t probably post for a while but I have gotten sick and can’t really do much else and I did say I would post something special about today. I was supposed to go to the service with my poppy (grandfarther) today but I just felt to bad to go and I still feel horrible. So I wrote this the other day.
60 years ago more or less a 19-year-old newlywed enlisted in the Second World War. Along with his four brothers who went in different locations his aim in the war was to do mechanical and Technical work. Travelling to New Guinea he worked on trucks and various other things that he was able to put his mind to. Although unlike his brother who fought on the line of fire, on the famous and deadly kakoda trail, who told stories of berrying himself in swaps for days with only a straw to breath through. My grandfather played a part in the History of Australia. He put his life on the life of his countries name and ability to defend its rights and freedoms. Anzac day is a time to remember the heroes that fought to honour us. 90 years for those who fought in world war one and 60 for those in the second.
I am lucky to have my grandfather with me when so many others may have lost, fathers, brothers, grandfathers and great grandfathers. For all those who defend us now, and all those who ever have, may love always be in your souls.
I want to thank everyone for your kind and loving comments and my grandmother is going very well. She had her operation on her leg and has a mental rode placed in it.
I have to go now we have some visitors but I shall try and give comments back, love and blessings!

That is a nice thing to do for your Grandfather, even if you couldn’t go, at least you showed you honored him and showed your care, love and appreciation for him, and what he has done. The comments are no problem. I?m really glad to hear your Grandmother is doing well and the surgery went well, hopefully the metal rod will function like it?s supposed to, it sounds like things are going well.
